Wall Decor with decoupage papers

Namaste Friends!!

Kriti here today...and I have a quick tutorial for a beautiful Wall Décor that I had made using Papericious Decoupage Papers, Chalk Paints, Crackle Paste, Decoupage Glue, White Gesso, Cardstocks and Paper Pack Blush.

Have a look...

Let's see how I have created this..

I have collected few things like chipboard, cardstock, glue, white gesso, chalk paint, acrylic paint, crackle paste, decoupage papers, decoupage glue and some embellishments.

First cut the chipboard of size 10" x 8" for the base and for the frame cut four pieces of chipboard of size 10" x 1.5" and four pieces of 5" x 1.5". Paste these rectangular pieces over the base to make the frame( We have to paste 2 rectangle chipboards on each side to get the depth for the frame). And then cover the whole frame with white gesso.

Now, cover the whole base using Country Grey Chalk Paint.

Next mix the pink acrylic paint with white crackle paste and apply all over it.

Now its the time to adhere my decoupage paper, so I have cut few flowers from the Pretty Peonies Decoupage Papers and adhere them with the help of decoupage glue. And then put a beautiful sheet from my favourite collection Blush onto the base.

After that I had embellished it with some flowers, doilies, die-cuts and a sentiment from Tim- Holtz wood mounted stamp. And voila...its ready

I hope you have like this project and you will try this out.

Here's what Arjita has to say about her project :
I took a small canvas and pasted the Naturals patterned paper by Papericoius to create a base. Distressed the edges using a scissor and then heat embossed a frame from the Fancy Tag Shaker and a Chipboard Butterfly from Butterflies Collage set. I also used a chipboard element from the Wedding Theme. Then, I fussy cut the flowers and Eiffel Tower from the Perfect Affair Patterned Paper. For embellishing, I added some jute cord in Ivory under the flower bunch. I also added some watered down White Gesso splatters on the canvas and finally added some sequins to finish the canvas.

And here's my card using Papericious - Kraft Card Stock, Designer paper, Dream Catcher chippies, White Crackle Paste, Lace, Crystal Clear Glitter.

Video Tutorial using Papericious Decoupage Supplies

Hello everyone,

Sunila and Aditi here today and we're excited to share a video tutorial with you all.

We've worked with the Papericious September release Decoupage Papers and Glue and we must say we love them.

The papers are easy to use and come in two sizes - 6" x 6" and 8" x 8". They come as a set of two perfectly coordinating patterns. The quality of the paper is great- not too thick nor too thin, just right to be able to decoupage.

The Decoupage Glue is fantastic as well. What we loved the most about this glue is that it remains tacky for a little longer, giving us enough time to play with our paper placement. With this, traditional techniques of Decoupage can be used.  The Papericious Decoupage Glue comes in two sizes - 60 g and 200 g.

Here's a look at our project today:

Here's the video link to the tutorial

Mirror ! Mirror ! on the wall...

Hi lovely people ,
I am back on the blog with another quick tutorial using Papericious decoupage papers. And again this time I could not stop myself from using the Pretty Peonies. For the project today I have fussy cut the designs.
I had an old wooden frame with me, painted it in shades of purple and added little gold.Let the paint dry.
I love the crackle effect, it adds to the vintage factor of your final outcome. Remember to use two contrasting colors while using crackle medium otherwise you wont get the desired effect. Let the medium dry and than add top layer of acrylic paint or chalk paint. The size of the crack would depend on how thick or thin layer of paint you put on top of the crackle medium.
I personally love using chalk paints, they give perfect results when used with crackle medium. Next fussy cut all the images you want from the pattern paper.
Papericious decoupage glue is just perfect as its quite tacky and gives you few seconds window to adjust your fussy cut pieces. To add a little interest I have used the Kaisercraft script stamp on the frame with Rangers Sepia archival ink.

Hope you get inspired by this quick tutorial.
Keep crafting.
